Jake, DONE

I drew Jake in graphite instead of my usual charcoal to match the drawing that I made of his big sister a few years ago when graphite was my favorite medium.  You can tell the difference in the shades of grey.  Graphite has a 'silver' tinge.  Charcoal looks bold because it is just different weights of the same true dark black shade. Graphite is different shades of grey ranging from light to dark.  Both mediums range from soft to hard in 'lead, or light to dark.  I prefer charcoal now because of the bolder and richer image it presents, but graphite is better when you make mistakes since it erases easily.
